17.02.17

As part of the NGV Festival of Photography, the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne presents a suite of contemporary photography exhibitions and including a newly acquired suite of works by DEREK HENDERSON.

Photography is one of the most diverse and prolific areas of contemporary practice, including as it does the work of practitioners who see themselves in the more traditional guise of ‘photographer’, along with multi-disciplinary artists.

Taking over a number of galleries across the NGV, the NGV Festival of Photography highlights new acquisitions of international and Australian photographers’ works, which have been actively collected by the NGV in recent years.

Other displays will present the work of some of the most challenging and exciting photographers working today, including:
Elad Lassry, Sophie Calle, Paola Pivi, Pieter Hugo, Danny Singer, Ceal Floyer, Lucia Koch, David Rosetzky, Polly Borland, Adam Fuss, Thomas Demand.  Also included is the major survery exhibition PATRICK POUND: The Great Exhibition.

The NGV Festival of Photography provides an opportunity to be immersed in exciting new works of photography, digitally produced prints as well as film based projects by both established and emerging artists.

DEREK HENDERSON will exhibit new works as a solo exhibition at Melanie Roger Gallery in June 2017 - party of the Auckland Festival of Photography.  To enquire about works by DEREK HENDERSON: info@melaneirogergallery.com
