RICHARD ORJIS | Pasture Paintings | Auckland City
RICHARD ORJIS has collaborated with Sarah Smuts-Kennedy and Taariti Taiaroa to create a new series of "Pasture Paintings" around Auckland City as part of Pop Projects. All three artists share interests in public space, social sculpture and environmetal histories and the case of Orjis, is a continuation of ideas begun with his work "Grass Circle" exhibited at Te Tuhi Gallery from 2010 - 2011.
Pasture Paintings are a series of geometric forms created from a series of pollen rich pasture. This project ties in with two further projects by the artists - "The Roots: Pollinate" and "The Park" which you can find out more about here - http://www.makethepark.info/
