Tiffany Singh | OM MANI PADME HUM | Dunedin Public Art Gallery

19.10.16

TIFFANY SINGH is known for her socially engaged practice that often manifests in colourful and large-scale installations. Her works draw on a variety of influences that include Eastern and Western spiritual beliefs, ancient culture, Jungian psychology and Modernism.

For the Dunedin Public Art Gallery’s ‘Big Wall’ (23m x 7m) Singh has created a monumental installation in a two-dimensional space. OM MANI PADME HUM blends a spectrum of coloured ribbon, fair-trade bells and the printed Tibetan Buddhist Mantra OM MANI PADME HUM – which subtly and delicately reflects important themes that are intrinsic to the artist’s practice.

The exhibition runs from 22 October 2016 - 31 March 2017.
