Henrietta Harris & Claudia Jowitt | Solvent | A Pop-up Exhibition for Artweek
Curated by A.D. Schierning, "Solvent" is an exhibition of watercolour paintings presented by Webb’s as part of Artweek Auckland 2020.
The exhibition explores the medium’s diverse usage and consistent relevance by pairing modernists like Doris Lusk and Toss Woollaston with contemporary painters. The varied selection ranges from graphic compositions by Salome Tanuvasa and Simon Morris to delicate atmospheric works by Séraphine Pick, Henrietta Harris, Claudia Jowitt and Dane Mitchell.
The exhibition is a pop up off-site presentation in the penthouse suite of the Endeans Building on Queen Street.
