The Big Sleepout 2026

As a local Karangahape business owner and as a board member for the Karangahape Business Association, I am joining the 2026 Big Sleep Out to support the work Lifewise does in our community. 

We have been on Karangahape Rd around eight years now and I have seen the extreme rise of homelessness and hardship over the past few years. It’s in the news and we can’t avoid it. It’s a bit like ground zero. We see it all. 
 

Lifewise are our neighbours directly opposite where they run Merge Cafe and we see too the great work they do in and for the community - through housing, meals and more general support for people who need it. The Big Sleep Out is a chance for me to try to help them to help in the community.
