OPENING EVENT: Tuesday 28 January, 5.30-7.30pm

We kick start the year with an exhibition of new painting by emerging talent GRACE BADER. Layers of paint are built up on rough gesso grounds creating an intriguing textural surface. Her colour palette is deliberately limited to a range of ochres, greens, blues and browns – rich shades that complement each other. 

“My practise looks toward both still life and the human figure to form a narrative which looks both inward and outward, creating shapes and space that reflect intimate moments of peace and beauty.”

Grace Bader studied at Whitecliffe School of Art and has exhibited solo exhibitions at Allpress Gallery, Toi O One Toi Tu and Thievery Studio where her work has been well received by both collectors and critics. As well, Bader has worked on a number of large scale private commissions. She currently lives and works in Auckland.
