MARTIN POPPELWELL exhibits a new body of work as a solo exhibition "Index" at the Hastings City Art Gallery from 30 July - 24 October 2016.
This idiosyncratic look at the alphabet uses images and icons that Poppelwell has built up over years. Exploring the idea of the ‘alphabet’, the project is an acknowledgement of how in the context of New Zealand, Te Reo is entirely integral to how we think about English.
The exhibition will be accompanied by a catalogue publication with new writing by Philip Clarke.
