Artists in Isolation: Claudia Jowitt
CLAUDIA JOWITT shares her bubble in Avondale with her partner Johnny and their two rescue cats. “My studio has a window that looks out onto our collection of hibiscus and the flame tree in the centre of the cul-de-sac which we have been watching slowly lose its leaves during lockdown bringing in the colder weather. My studio is small so I make use of the backyard and stealthily spread into other parts of the house. I’m working from home for the gallery I work for too as well as spending a lot of time painting. I’ve been keeping sane by keeping in contact with my family and friends along with online Melanesian dance classes and late night jam making experiments.”
