Artists in Isolation: Sam Mitchell
SAM MITCHELL shares her bubble with her partner Mike in Helensville just north of Auckland where they recently moved earlier this year. Isolation came early for them with a two week period before most and with her current exhibition just finished and installed, Sam was not really prepared in her studio for lockdown. “I am working with the limited materials I have at hand making paper-mache masks & sculptures for my garden”. They are also enjoying daily walks and getting to know their new surrounds even more as well as spending time building a vege garden and cooking.
