Dick Lyne
Bio.
A self taught artist, Dick Lyne picked up a paintbrush for the first time at age 65, his work reflecting his knowledge and love of the bush where he spent many years of his working life. As a bushman, Lyne worked mainly in the King Country and Matakana Island and as such these areas are well represented in his work.
Lyne’s paintings hang in private collections in England, France, the USA and Australia as well as New Zealand. His work was recently purchased for the Wallace Trust Collection and was exhibited at the Sarjeant Gallery, Whanganui in Song of the Woods in 2011.
